Hello!

aWe Wee'ee

 HELLO!

We've added most of the walks and events  to the 2026 festival calendar which takes place from 24 April to 4 May 2026. There may be so

As we write there are around 70+ walks and events with a few more to come. Some of the walks require booking, the details are in each listing.  Many will be live for booking from 20 March. Please only book if you intend to be there, and if you've booked and can't make it please cancel the booking and let the organiser know.

Many businesses came  to the business launch on 26 February, if you'd like to get involved or offer a discount to festival participants then please email our local tourism officers.

📖 A Bit of Background

The Staffordshire Moorlands Walking Festival was launched in 2022, sparked by a lockdown idea that turned into a community success.

Since then:

  • We’ve welcomed over 3600 attendees
  • Hosted 230 walks and events
  • Collaborated with 70+ organisations
  • And had 50,000+ website visitors during the 2025 festival alone!

We’re incredibly grateful for the support of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council (SMDC), VisitStaffs and OUTSIDE Arts.
