The Staffordshire Moorlands Walking Festival in 2022 was a huge success with over 600 locals and visitors enjoying 40 walks put on by 19 local organisations over 2 weeks; showcasing what a great place the Staffordshire Moorlands is to walk and to visit.
This year the Festival will have more exciting, intresting and intriguing walks taking place from Friday 21 April to Monday 1 May, so get the dates in your diary.
What to Expect
A variety of beautiful local walks, most free*, to suit various abilities and interests all over the Staffordshire Moorlands. Ascend the stunning renowned Roaches Rocks with awesome views as far as Wales, enjoy the wildlife roaming our heather filled moorlands, take in the beauty and tranquillity of our local nature reserves, or simply enjoy a peaceful walk around Tittesworth Reservoir or Rudyard lake.

Where to Stay
The main towns of the Staffordshire Moorlands are Leek, Cheadle and Biddulph, along with our great villages there are plenty of great hotels, bed and breakfasts, holiday cottages, campsites and glamping.
The Staffordshire Moorlands are a perfect stay for local markets, delicious restaurants and traditional country pubs.
